CRMCA meets at least twice each year at varying locations across Canada. Each member (delegate) has one vote on the Board of Directors.
CRMCA formally supports Ready Mixed Concrete 2000. RMC 2000 is a philosophy and business practice model for the ready mixed concrete industry throughout North America and elsewhere in the world. Developed and introduced in 1993, this continually evolving long-term vision program designed to improve the quality and value of the ready mixed concrete industry, has gained popularity and recognition around the world.
Through its members, CRMCA provides representation in the development of national building, material and construction codes and standards developed by agencies such as Canadian Standards Association International (CSA) and National Building Code (NBC). CRMCA is a sustaining member of CSA and has representation on committees such as CSA A23.1/.2, CSA A283, CSA A438, CSA A3000 and Strategic Steering Committee on Concrete and Related Products.
Through its members, CRMCA partners with national and provincial Home Builders Associations, national and provincial Construction Associations, American Concrete Institute International and local ACI Chapters, and National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA).
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Canadian Ready Mixed Concrete Association is:
1. To exchange association information.
2. To promote ready mixed concrete in Canada, and promote new and innovative ways for the use of our products.
3. To encourage the use and application of quality products.
4. To provide national representation through regional membership, dealing with national standards with Canadian Standards Association.
5. To encourage best management practices.
BENEFITS
The most important function of CRMCA is to serve as a forum for discussion of association and industry trends and issues, codes and standards, and association programs such as promotion, marketing, administrative, education, membership, government (environment, health/safety, taxation, etc.) and technology.
CRMCA and the ready mixed concrete industry throughout Canada benefit from research and development, technical information and problem solving available through member Technical Committees, educational programs, research and development, and the Cement Association of Canada.
